Managing Mini Meals, Snacks, and Growing Appetites With Your 11-Month-Old
At 11 months, hunger can feel… unpredictable. Some days they eat like a teenager. Other days, three bites and they’re done.
This is where mini meals and snacks come in.
Most babies this age do well with 3 main meals and 1-2 small snacks.
Think of snacks as balanced too- not just fillers, but mini versions of meals. Pair protein or fat with carbohydrates:
• Yoghurt with fruit (or our Berry Chia Jam)
• Toast fingers with nut butter (or our PB & Raspberry Puree)
• Cheese with soft pear slices
Keep snacks seated, not roaming. Safety and structure remains top of the priority lists here, it’s just that you’re experimenting with how much and how often..
Portions don’t need to be big- and the more nutritious you can keep snacks, then the less pressure you’ll need to put on ‘main’ meals.
At this stage, eating is becoming more rhythmic. Little refuels between bigger moments. 💛
