By 14 months, your toddler is ready for more complex textures. Chewing skills are improving, even if molars haven’t fully come through yet.
Now is the time to introduce:
- Soft meats in smaller pieces
- Lightly cooked vegetables with bite
- Mixed-texture meals

Texture progression is crucial - delaying it can sometimes lead to picky eating later. Encourage chewing by offering foods that require a little effort but are still safe.
