Curated by the Le Purée Mummas.
It’s already that time of year, and we know how silly season can creep up on you - so we’re here to help with those gifts you’ve been meaning to buy.
Let’s start with the littlest one in the house
New and fresh faced little humans. They’re so excited to be here, and more than that, we’re over the mooooooon to have them at the Chrissie table this year!
Their gummy little smiles and chubby hands will be the picture perfect moments that make this silly season perfect. But what to buy for their first Christmas? A few suggestions which have worked in our families:
- A tupperware container
- A tupperware lid
- A cardboard box
- A cardboard box filled with pom poms
- A tissue box (full!) and teach them how to pull out one tissue at a time
- A mirror
- A balloon tied on a string, attached to their ankle. It’s hours and hours of joy
Okay, but what about those slightly older babies, who will crunch their nose up at your ridiculous suggestions?
For the 6-12 month crowd, these gorgeous toys have “best day ever” written all over them:
- Lovevery Play Kit for their age group - these playkits are the perfect set of developmentally appropriate toys for your baby and are so much fun for the whole family to dive into with bub!
- Teddy Bear (or any other lifelong friend) - we love Binibamba for a natural sheepskin teddy that will last the while.
- Rattles & Grasping toys - we love these natural options from Oskars Wooden Arc.
- Nature Baby Clothing - oh so soft and long lasting!
- Playrugs - we love these for long lasting fun!
For our tiny friends in the 1-2 year category, these are our favourite picks:
- A toddler music set (examples here)
- A felt Christmas tree to decorate
- Busy boards
- Sensory sorting cubes
- Magnetic building sticks

For toddlers 2-3 years, these are our top suggestions:
- A water table - especially to cool off in an Aussie Summer (we love this one with shade)
- Kidde Kutters - safe knives and peelers to help in the kitchen
- A fort building kit
- A Tonie Box or Yoto - pricey, but really this is a gift for the whole fam!
And our favourite people to buy for… Mummas and Mummas to be!

Why not gift that special Mumma in your life, the gift of time? She’s caring for everyone else, so let her put her feet up, and take the night off cooking with a Le Puree gift card- she can spend it on puree, finger foods, smoothies- or even family meals for the whole gang!
Happy holidays to you and yours, and we hope this guide helps a little!
Love, the Le Puree fam x
