Happy (almost) 2024!!
We’ve decided to start this year by reflecting on what we’ve achieved, what we loved and what’s coming!
Looking forward to the year ahead, we’ve decided to set some important New Year's Resolutions, and we’re sending them to YOU, so you can keep us on track. 🙂
Okay, so some things we learned in 2023:
- Starting solids is not a straight line, but very zigzaggy.
- The partnerships we made were meaningful and brought you better and better food options.
- You really, truly love our ‘Meat Bundle’ puree pack (who wants to be making this stuff at home?!)
- Allergies are something we’re seeing more and more, and it’s scary when our babies. are vulnerable. We will always aim for more education.
- With allergy specialists, paediatricians and a dietitian on our team, we’ve tried to bring you the best education possible.
- Babies starting solids are SO DARN CUTE.
- Feeding babies lemon slices gets our favourite reaction.
- Parents are so engaged in feeding their babies the absolute best, we’re dedicated to making things perfect.
With all that in mind, these are our 2024 New Year’s Resolutions:
Erin (Chief of the whole darn village)
I love the new year and the idea of a fresh perspective for what’s to come! This year I would like to continue to focus on gratitude. I am grateful for all the triumphs as well as all the challenges. I am even more grateful for my supportive family, incredibly talented team and the community of parents we have been connected with along the way!
I would also like to drink more water :)
Jen (Boss of Marketing)
Ahh, how is it already a NEW year!? So excited for 2024 and all the big things happening both personally and here at Le Puree (hint: SO much newness coming).
I would really like to focus on being in the present and living in the now. I so easily get caught up in goals and where I want to be, so really savouring all the exciting (& totally mundane) moments is a big one for me. There is so much beauty in the small things, which is so easy to forget.
So thankful for everything that 2023 served up, really excited to get into 2024 :)
Jess (Boss of Nutrition)
My resolution this year is to be more intentional. More intentional with the actions that I take, the words that I use (especially with my kids), and more intentional with the larger picture that I’m trying to be a part of. This means aligning myself with organisations, causes and activities which mean something to me. Planning things out in advance which I care about- rather than saying yes to everything without thinking things through.
And ice cream. I vow to eat more ice cream in 2024.
Khaled (Boss of Operations)
This has been a very busy and exciting year, joining Le Puree at the start of this year was a big change for me, it has been very rewarding, challenging and fun!
In the New Year I am wanting to be more in the moment with myself and my family. To really cherish and take in the moments with my two boys as they happen. Watching them grow and learn every day is a gift. Also with our ever growing army of children in our extended family with the boys having 11 cousins!
Also wanting to work more on my health and mental well being in 2024!
Thomas (Boss of the Kitchen)
What a year it has been! So many challenges have been achieved with great life lessons.
Highlight of 2023? Spending time with my daughter, watching her grow into this wonderful and amazing 2 and a half year old, but hoping to extend our family with another Bébé for 2024. Working for Le Puree is also very rewarding and amazing… great boss(es)!!
Goal of 2024? I want to challenge myself and my team to think outside of the box and truly create unique dishes that we all believe in for our customers. And to learn more about creating spreadsheets.
Like Marco Pierre White once said :
“For me Food is about generosity, and this should reflect on the plate as well”
